Default date ranges are a great way to standardize your reports. Here, we'll cover how to set up your date ranges at the Dashboard level instead of in each individual widget.
What's the advantage of setting a dashboard level date range?
Setting a dashboard level date range makes it easy for you to change the entire dashboards date range in one swoop. This allows you to move more quickly within the dashboard to analyze your data.
How do I set up a Dashboard level date range
Step 1: Click the edit pencil in the upper right-hand corner of a dashboard. This will bring a pop-up to edit the entire dashboard
Step 2: Find and define your default dashboard level date range by either picking on of our many defaulted dates ranges or creating a custom range
Step 3: Click "Save"
Best Practices & Other Notes
You can always override the dashboard default by filtering at the widget level. If you'd like to set the widget back to the dashboard default, you'll need to edit the widget and set it back at the dashboard default.
